Tattooing Oily Skin

The technical adjustments needed when tattooing naturally oilier skin, which tends to hold less ink in fine lines.

Oilier skin can make it harder for ink to hold, especially on very fine lines, and sometimes needs more passes to reach good saturation. The oiliness can also interfere with stencil adhesion, leading the artist to clean the area more frequently while transferring the design. None of this prevents tattooing — it just calls for technique adjustments and sometimes a bit more session time.
