Original (Artist-Led) Tattoo
A tattoo created from the artist's own artistic vision, with little to no reference imposed by the client.
Unlike a custom-order tattoo, where the client brings a fully formed idea, an original tattoo starts from the artist's own style and creative freedom — the client picks that artist precisely for their signature line and trusts the outcome. This is common among artists with a strong visual identity, who reserve part of their calendar exclusively for original pieces, often pricing them differently to reflect that creative freedom.
